I’m a match made in madness. I come from a real cornucopia of nationalities, languages and cultures: a Uruguayan father of Russian extraction who grew up in Buenos Aires, an American mother from Dallas, Texas, and a childhood in Paris where Christmas was a brouhaha of French, Spanish, English, Russian and the occasional Yiddish.
I studied Creative Writing in the United States, then headed to King’s College London for an MA in English Literature. I fell in love with Dickens and Baudelaire, and found myself having a love affair with two cities.
Diary of a Londoness began as my love letter to London: its museums, palaces, secret corners and historic houses. I now share my time between London and Lisbon, so the diary has grown to cover both cities, with new stories from each.
You’ll find arts and culture, secret corners, historic houses and good places to eat in both cities, plus dog-friendly corners of Lisbon. I hope you enjoy exploring them as much as I do.
