Welcome to our October edition of Cultured Kids, co-hosted with the superlatively cultured Catherine at Catherine’s Cultural Wednesdays.
Cultured Kids is a virtual space where we share articles on all things cultural every two weeks, for kids around the world. Check the articles below for fun and informative posts from other bloggers on theatre, museums, attractions, travel, historical destinations and much more.
It’s been a while since I’ve hosted, and I am very excited to tell you that I am the Arts and Culture judge for the UK BLOG AWARDS 2019. To all you wonderful bloggers out there – nominations are still open (the closing date is the 28 October). You can nominate yourself if someone hasn’t already done so for you. So, what are you waiting for? More information here.
Can you believe it’s half term already? Which means countdown to Halloween, one of my favourite events of the year (I am half American after all). I hope you and yours have your wicked outfits and your Jack O’Lanterns ready to go soon.
My Cultured Kids post this month is all about Thames Rockets speedboat rides and some of the landmarks you’ll see as you zoom downriver. It’s fast, furious and fun for kids young and old(er). For the teens and those studying Shakespeare, make sure you check out otellomacbeth at the Lyric Hammersmith, a mash-up of both plays in easy bite-size one-hour parts.
Have a cosy rest of October, a spooktastic Halloween and hope you enjoy our Cultured Kids #31!
